First Day in Antigua
Okay wow here I am my first day in Guatemala and my first blog.
A new friend I recently met on a plane suggested I start a blog of my travels this year and my friends and family all want me to send photos so here I am on my first post of this new adventure to start off 2023.
I am staying in a little farming village in Santa Catarina Barahona and it is so lovely and the people are very kind and helpful.
I had breakfast at Monte de Horeb and as you can
see it was filled w flavour from local vegetables and
herbs and eggs produced right from the property. The coffee is roasted on site by the chef’s father. All for under $7 C.
I then realized I had to move if I was to catch the one yoga class on sat in Antigua. I caught an Uber for 60 total Q and was 5 mins late but the instructor was gracious enough to let me in. It was a 90 min very difficult class where I was the senior by 30 years. I am now celebrating with a latte at cafes especiales. The best coffee I’ve enjoyed since last year in Costa Rica. I heading to supermarket and then home to Santa Catarina Barahona.
I will add more photos and less text as I move forward. Back tomorrow!
