Welcome to Custco
We finally arrived in Custco at 10 am on Sunday. Pretty tired from travel, we rested up a bit, grabbed some food and drink provisions and had a quiet first night. I had a seminar until 230 Monday and then we set off for exploring around the historico Centro.
This sweet lady was sitting on a quiet corner on the way to central square- she offered me two bracelets for $5 Solas (1.70 app C) and so I happily accepted her offer but requested a photo as well. She was so lovely I could have sat there visiting with her for hours.
Within an hour I found my favourite store in Custco Pure Alpaca- I purchased an alpaca sweater and sweater dress and Steve purchased a sweater which he’s is modelling in the photo.
A real baby alpaca. These girls were dressed up for the celebration and saint procession this afternoon and evening. My three comrades Andrea, Stephen and their daughter Kayla at town centre.
My first culinary experience in Custco was nothing short of amazing. Starting out w a Pisco Sour cocktail - (as good as it sounds) with traditional Peruvian appetizers and a succulent beef loin (I chose this over Guinea pig) in mushroom sauce.
Later in the evening enjoying the saint procession, the food vendors and families happy to be out and about.
That’s all for days 1 & 2!
