WHW Day 2 Drymen to Rowardennan

Today was the only day we had the full team for the walk as Max had joined us and it was Katie’s last day.  The highlight was the climb up Conic Hill and seeing the vast highlands with sheep dispersed as far as your eyes could see.  At the summit we could see the lowlands to the south and the highlands to our north- incredible vista.

Pub night in Drymen (Drimen) at Buchanan Arms.
Our waitress for breakfast (Moreg) was so sharp, and full of fun so we asked her to join us for our sendoff picture. Our full contingent for day 2 on the trail(Mitch Brown-John, Katie Keyes, Jill Watt, Moreg, Alexander Zalmai, Haveeza Zalmai and Max Tibbitts.

Just before our climb up Conic Hill.

We stopped here for a rest near the crest of Conic Hill and that night everyone said that was their highlight of the day laying there in the grass w the incredible view of the highlands.

The climb down to Loche Lamond.

Finally arrived at Rowardennan Inn est 1736

So today we walked 25.8 km and climbed 143 floors, and had a refreshing swim in the Loche about 1 hour from Rowardenenan Inn.  We thought that was a tough day- little did we know.
