WHW Day 6 Kinlochleven to Fort William

After a nice breakfast at the Lochaber Crescent Air Bnb we started walking into the town to buy lunch.  The shop was at least 300 m in the wrong way from the trail so we all decided we didn’t need lunch and could survive on water and whatever left over snacks we had. We left Max at a bus stop and started our first steep climb almost right away where we had to pass about 30 people who started earlier than us.  The trail seemed way busier today but Mitch and I soon passed most people and it was quiet again.

Mitch was fighting off the scotch from the night before so he practically ran up the mountain but he graciously waited for me at the top.

Mitch and I at the top of the hill above Fort William when we could finally spot our final destination way off in the distance.

Boys party photos from the night before.

Our first view of Fort William.  It was still
2 hours walk but we could see the end.

Celebrating outside Brown’s Restaurant as Alex and Haveeza arrived at Fort William.  We did it!  Todays hike was 20 km and 150 floors.  We left at 10 am and arrived at 2 pm.  We celebrated a bit too long and missed our 4 pm bus to Glasgow.  Never mind we caught the 540 pm bus and sipped on Harris gin and soda all the way to Glasgow.  Way to go team!
