Day 3 Glenbeigh to Cahersiveen
From Glenbeigh we climbed fairly steady and had some spectacular views of Dingle Bay.
The country lane out of Glenbeigh was so lovely a photo was called for.
After climbing through a lot of wind and rain and high sheep country covered w steep hills with rocks and rivlets on both sides we finally sought shelter and a lunch spot in an old homestead. No spots to sit but out of the rain.
More photos of our day below. The day was very long as we lost the trail a couple of times and ended up hiking 33 km to the closest pub in Carhersivee- Mike Murt’s - what a hoot of a place. It was an oldie w tons of character and the bar top had a mean slant so you kept a keen eye on your Guiness. The bartender was a nice young man and also does kayak tours over at Dingle so I said I would partake after
leaving Barb and the Kerry Way.
