Christchurch-Auckland-Waitoma
I was sad to leave the farm haven at Ros and Todd’s but today I flew from Christchurch to Auckland and then drove to Waitoma. I had a nice visit w Nikola first thing which energized me for the day ahead. She’s such an amazing mom and I’m so proud of her. ❤️
After setting up my tent I decided to head out for a look around and found a short trail to the glow worm caves and on the way back I walked up to the look out.
I then headed to the Tomo Bar and grill, the only place within walking distance and this nice group of bikers joined me as there was lots of room at my outdoor table. Merv, Tom, Peter and Alistair were good buddies from both North and South Island out on a ten day tour. Peter mentioned that he lives in Blenheim and grows grapes for the Yeeland winery, Al owns Alamo Ski Lodge in Tito’s Ski Field. I didn’t quite learn as much about the others. It cooled off quickly so I headed back to the campsite to cozy in for the night.
